1920s Indigo Calico Work Dress

Early 1920s indigo calico cotton work dress. Ric rac trim and mother of pearl buttons down the front. Hand sewn button holes. Ties at the waist to the back, and has one small pocket on left hip. This beautiful example of work wear also has three different types of indigo calico with the primary pattern, a button panel of a second pattern, and sleeve cuffs with a third type. Special details and gorgeous rich indigo blue make this a very fine dress. 

Condition: dress is in sturdy, very wearable condition. It is entirely hand-sewn so it's obviously not perfect, but presents beautifully. There is some fading under the arms and one repair under left armpit. Some slight pilling of the cotton under arms as well. The rest of the dress is in mint condition, and it has been hand washed.
