1930s Hand Painted Folk Art Banjolele

Rare, spectacular 1930s hand-painted banjolele with a wonderful scene of a woman gliding on water, painted on head with beautiful muted colors. Made from a mix of woods, the body is solid birdseye maple. Open-back, with the name ‘A.E. Thergesen’ written on the inside. Missing strings but could be used as intended and fully functional with a tune up. Would also make a wonderful display piece hung on a wall. It is truly a work of art! 

Condition: overall excellent. A few areas of wear to the painted image. Some light scratches. Useable, all working condition. Clean.
