1930s Full Length Sheer Organza Polka Dot Day Dress With Super Puff Sleeves
One of two incredibly charming full-length 1930s dresses I rescued from a barn in The Berkshires. I brought this beauty back to life with hours of mends and repairs, and put lots of love into her, hoping someone will appreciate her the way I do! She is worth it!
This dress has an incredible shape, white with red polka dot all-over print on a sturdy and satisfying organza cotton. The sleeves are dramatically puffy and so so special! (Stuffed with tissue paper in some photos). Peter Pan ruffle collar. Large and fun sweep to the skirt. Two snap closures at the side and belt loops! Dress pulls over the head.
Condition: due to the antique nature, this dress is not perfect, however I have restored it to a very high standard, and have put hours into darning any substantial holes I could find. There are some sizeable areas of darning, where I assume mice had been nibbling. This dress has been washed, lined dried and meticulously ironed to show all the special details! Fabric is strong and wearable, however organza is more delicate fabric by nature, so do wear with care. Some pinholes may present here and there but overall this dress is ready to be worn!
