Folk Art Wood Puppy & Kitty Thread Spool Holder

This is a silly and charming folk art thread spool holder with a very handmade, naive puppy and kitty cut out of wood. Perhaps made by a child. Nails have been crudely stuck into the wood for the spools to sit. Weird and sweet! 

Condition: as is. Very handmade and imperfect. It looks like there was once something on the chest of the animals that is now missing. Serves its function and is still very cute.
